ROBERT PLANT To Release 'Harm's Swift Way' Single

Legendary LED ZEPPELIN singer Robert Plant will release "Harm's Swift Way", the latest single from his album "Band Of Joy" on February 28 via Decca Records. Plant's version of the track — originally written and performed by the late, great country folker Townes Van Zandt (1944-1997) — is a driving, plaintive slice of Southern soul, featuring backing vocals from Patty Griffin. A digital bundle with a live version of "Harm's Swift Way" and "Band Of Joy" album track "Monkey" (originally by LOW) — both taken from Plant's show at London's Forum last autumn — will be available.

Robert Plant has been nominated in the "British Male Solo Artist" category at this year's Brit Awards (the British equivalent of the Grammy Awards). The winners will be announced at the O2 Arena in London, England on February 15.

"Band of Joy", the new album from Robert Plant and BAND OF JOY, sold 49,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 5 on The Billboard 200 chart.

Plant's first release since recording the six-time Grammy-winning bluegrass album "Raising Sand" with collaborator Alison Krauss in 2007, the "Band of Joy" CD enlists the help of an array of U.S. musicians, all of whom are performing with Plant on tour.

The new lineup of BAND OF JOY includes: Patty Griffin on vocals; Darrell Scott on multiple instruments and vocals; Byron House on bass and vocals; Marco Giovino on drums, percussion and vocals; and co-producer Buddy Miller on guitar and vocals.
